Executive Vice President of Walt Disney Incorporated LLC, Joe Barron, made a big mistake during an interview with Jake Tapper on CNN. Barron told Tapper that Disney isn’t concerned about right-wing boycotts.
The entitled millionaire says Trump supporters are “morons” who walk around the parks making everyone else’s life miserable, and that “nobody will miss those scumbags.” Tapper pushed back, which was surprising, asking Barron if he truly thought Trump supporters were all scumbags.
“Maybe not,” said the exec, “I’m sure there are fine people in their ranks. But for the most part, they’re the people screaming at ride operators, vendors, and their children, and pushing politics when we’re just evolving with the rest of the world. Good riddance.”
Reports have come in that Disney is losing its shirt over the boycotts and trip cancelations. 9.1 million people have allegedly canceled their streaming service, and 41 people mailed in their Mickey Mouse Club original memberships from the 1960s.
In short, Disney is a mess, and if this guy thinks being even more rude to Trump supporters is the way to go, he doesn’t get it. Keep pushing and we’ll show up. We’ll show up a million strong and every last one of us will demand to speak to the manager.
